About Us
Dr Sam has a bachelor’s degree in business information systems, master’s degree in Adult Education Distance Learning and a PhD in Higher Education Administration. She has been teaching Microsoft Word since 1995.
Working as a legal secretary for a firm that was switching from Word Perfect in DOS to Microsoft Word in Windows, she recognized that the firm was in for a big surprise when secretaries were asked to use a Mouse for the first time and had no clue how to navigate in Windows.
She wrote a job description for herself as the Software Trainer and presented it to the Managing Partner. She was given the job on the spot and took an entire law firm into the Windows world. She then supervised the conversion of over 12,000 documents into the new format.
As the Computer Services Coordinator at the Arizona State Legislature, she developed training for Microsoft products and proprietary software and trained all legislators and assistance on the use of the applications.
She has taught computer classes for Phoenix College, South Mountain Community College, Rio Salado College, San Juaquin Delta College, and BYU Idaho. As an online professor, she has taught students from all over the world, helping them learn skills to improve their work product.
Dr Sam’s philosophy of education is that the goal is to help you succeed, not catch you making a mistake. Her personal philosophy is “Have fun and do something good” every day.
